NLP: Natural Language Processing

Computers and natural language are not good friends at all.

Our human language is really difficult. Full of ambiguities, exceptions, irregularities, and many other elements that are not compatible with the required stricted and fixed rules a CPU needs.

From the very beginning of the era of computers, we have been trying to communicate with computers in natural language, and specific areas, such as Natural Language Processing and Natural Language Understanding started, and even disciplines such as computational linguistics.

Generative AI in the context of text means text generation, translation, name entity recognition, dialogue systems, sentiment detection and an almost limitless set of possibilities.

NLP has been boosted with the latest advances in deep learning, huge corpora of text (Internet), and powerful computational systems (GPU, TPU etc.)
